My work investigates spatial and social perspectives through an expansion of layers within an idealized Western landscape. By applying the pastoral back onto the urban grid, I explore life’s parallel surfaces and opposable views with both a critical eye and open imagination. By simultaneously examining a world of endless possibilities and life’s routine, I create a hybrid space where one moves through the finite and the infinite in tandem. Using a vocabulary of commercially available materials that I consider integral to my work, I pursue both large and small-scale investigations.
